Shawn Thomas '84 TCNAA 2015 Hall of Fame Inductee

Shawn has had an exemplary Sales & Marketing career in several industries, including banking for 30+ years. His career has afforded him the opportunity to work for Fortune 500 companies (Xerox Business Services & Standard Register) and he currently works for a Memphis-based community bank, Tri-State Bank of Memphis. Shawn has always been one of the top revenue generators for each of the companies he's worked for during his professional career. Shawn has also successfully led Sales & Marketing teams that have allowed their companies to be industry and market leaders. In his current capacity as Senior Vice President of Lending and New Business Development, Shawn led his bank to phenomenal growth in total assets to over 20% in a two year period (2011-2012). This was during a time when most banks were still reeling from the financial crash of 2008 and the national recession that immediately followed.

Nominated by the Tri-State Defender (a Memphis publication) as “Best Banker in Memphis,” in 2013 and 2014.

Voted by the Memphis Business Quarterly in 2013 and 2014 as one of the “Power Players in Banking” in Memphis.

Nominated by the Mayor A. C. Wharton, to serve a four year term on the Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Directors.
